For teen or child commercial actors, going to your first audition can be intimidating. There are three very important things to remember that will help you be successful and stand out.
\r\nDress for your age.\r\nKnow the role that you are auditioning for and be sure to arrive at the audition dressed appropriately for the commercial subject matter and also for your age. The casting agents will be looking for kids or teens that look like real people.\r\n\r\nPractice variations.\r\nDuring filming, changes may occur whether it is to the lines or the way you are delivering them. When you are practicing for your audition try a few different variations so that if the casting directors want to see more you will be able to show that you are comfortable with changes.\r\n\r\nHave Fun!\r\nAttitude and approachability are key to standing out at an audition. Have fun with the audition process and let go of any pressure or nervousness. Just go in to the audition and do the best job you can do. Even if you don’t land that specific role, you could make an impression on the casting agents who you may see in the industry again.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nReady to get started with training at Barbizon Modeling and Acting?
