If you are 12 years old or younger and starting to work in the modeling industry, it’s important to stay confident and remember that the industry looks for a very specific type of kid model… one who looks like a kid!

\r\nChild models are in demand for all kinds of looks and are needed for many different types of commercial modeling. They work in the modeling industry with many different body types, heights and general looks.\r\n\r\nKid models who are a good fit for commercial modeling need to remember this when creating a comp card. In photos, you should wear little to no makeup and look natural. Clothes worn for photo shoots should also reflect something a kid might wear, for example jeans and a nice t-shirt or a casual sundress.\r\n\r\nAs a child model, it is very important to have self-confidence in your look and how it fits into the modeling industry. Be yourself and let your personality shine through as you are reaching out to agents, managers and clients. A great personality can carry you very far in this competitive industry.\r\n\r\ndivline\r\n\r\nTo learn more about Barbizon’s modeling and acting program, schedule your audition time now.\r\n\r\nSchedule Your Barbizon Audition
