Actors Guide To Marketable Photos

Acting

As an actor, you will need to have marketable photos that you can send to agents and managers when you are looking for representation. Keep in mind that you don’t necessarily need to pay for expensive pictures but agents and managers will want to see clean and natural images. Start out by purchasing a decent quality digital camera (or even borrowing one from a friend).\r\n\r\nTo submit with your resume, you will need to have a headshot. This shot should be clean and natural (definitely no excessive makeup) and it should show the top of your head through your shoulders. Make sure your picture is taken on a solid backdrop, even a plain white wall will work. There should be natural light without any shadows.\r\n\r\nBe sure to wear a solid shirt with sleeves and skip putting on  accessories. Your hair should be natural  and not overdone. The most important thing you will want your headshot to convey is personality and spirit!
