Acting

 By: Kristina Anderson, Barbizon International

Having your own individual personality can be make or break  when it comes to finding success in the acting industry. Positive traits, like being a good person, a kind person, a funny person or any number of other things, make you stand out as an individual in a sea of people that are trying to “make it”. As an actor, you will often find yourself auditioning for a role along with many other actors that may look or act similar to you. Your personality with give you that edge of individuality that can leave an impression.

Your personality and what you bring to a group can have an effect in whether or not you land a role. Are you someone that directors and other actors want to spend hours in a rehearsal room with? Or on a movie set for months on end? Building a reputation for being the type of person works well with others is also an important element to being an actor.

Be someone that people like to be around and be yourself to make an impression on the industry!
