When you are getting ready to send your new model submission to agencies, managers or even for placement with Barbizon, you will need to have a few pictures available that they can keep on record. We have a few tips to help you get the right pictures that agents and managers what to see.

\r\nYour pictures DO NOT need to be professional.\r\nWhen submitting your photographs for representation, you do not need to go out and have professional pictures taken. Pictures taken with a digital camera of you standing in front of a white wall are perfectly acceptable and preferred.\r\n\r\nYou should look natural in your pictures.\r\nAgents and managers want to see what you really look like. This means keeping your makeup to a minimum and wearing your hair naturally. This also means that you shouldn’t add any kind of digital filters to your pictures or use artistic lighting.\r\n\r\nRead instructions and know what the agency/manager is looking for in a submission.\r\nMany agencies and managers have requirements for the types of shots they are looking for. Be sure to read their requests for submissions and provide all of the images they list. Unless the agency/manager specifies otherwise, it is a good idea to submit both a headshot and a full body shot so they can get a good overall idea of what you look like.\r\n\r\nDress simple and dress your age.\r\nSlim-fitting jeans and a solid black t-shirt or tank top are always a safe bet for submission pictures. Try not to wear any kind of distracting pattern and stay away from baggy clothes. Also, remember to dress your age. Agents and managers don’t necessarily want to see kids and teens in formal or business style clothes that they probably wouldn’t be asked to wear in a commercial modeling job.\r\n\r\ndivline\r\n\r\nDo you want to learn more about the modeling and acting industry?
