At Barbizon, we are company that believes in empowering the youth through education. Over a decade ago, we created Barbizon’s $100,000 College Tuition Scholarship with this goal in mind. By awarding our scholarship recipients, Barbizon becomes a part of their educational journey and the foundation upon which they build their careers.
From Lafayette, our most recent winner is Kristen S. This fifth grader is goal-oriented and eager to grow through higher education pursuits. Learn more about her below.

What made you enter the $100,000 College Tuition Scholarship?
I felt it would be a great opportunity for my future.
What do you feel makes you a good candidate for this scholarship?
I look forward to attending college making my mom proud and playing basketball.
What made you sign up for Barbizon?
My mom signed me up because I am really talented. I love to sing and write music, dance, act, model, gymnastic and basketball, track, volleyball. I am a package.
How did Barbizon help you?
I learned how to be more confident in front of a crowd and walk the runway. I am able to take good criticism and not care what some people say.
What did you like best about Barbizon?
Being a part of the Barbizon Atlanta competition, going to the workshops, doing improv and acting out a scenario with a partner.
What do you think has stuck with you most from your Barbizon classes?
My confidence level being on stage in front of a big crowd and interacting with people model walk.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering Barbizon?
It’s a fun, good experience. I feel I can be me and show the world my talent and personality. They should join the Barbizon family.
