For teens and kids starting off in the world of commercial print modeling, you may be surprised to find that (depending on the type of client you are working for) you may be required to bring your own clothing to a photo shoot. This doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. A lot of the pieces that you should bring you likely already own.\r\n\r\nYou should check with the client or the photographer to see if a stylist will be at the photo shoot and if there are any specific items or looks they are going for. Based on their feedback you should be able to form a good idea of the kind of look the client is going for.\r\n\r\nHere is a list of clothes items that kids and teens may want to wear or bring to commercial modeling jobs:\r\n
- \r\n
- Solid color tank tops, t-shirts and/or long-sleeved shirts, in good condition, for casual or fun shoots. Make sure no logos are visible on this or any other clothes item brought to the photoshoot.
- Solid color or minimal print button-down shirts and a vest or jacket for a more mature look.
- Jeans (no holes), black or tan slacks, shorts and/or leggings, depending on the nature of the photo shoot.
- Solid color, casual dress for girls.
- Appropriate undergarments for the outfits you are bringing.
- Shoes to match the outfits you brought (one pair of heels and one pair of flats at least).
- Accessories like scarves, sunglasses, belts, or even fun costume jewelry.
